;) thanks man! glacier is wild. i recommend you check it out!

Could i ask what you think of my other shot? "Last Light"?

also, i read that you went out to the bad lands i think. how was that?
:iconcolinhsillerud:
;) i appreciate it! it took a lot of wiping of the lens to keep it dry.

I've seen countless beauties from Glacier. That's on the top of my list for places to see.
Yeah man, we went there today. It's a strange place bro, it's a classic example of "The Middle of Nowhere" - It's very photogenic, but the daytime light made the landscape look flat as a pancake. We got there around 1:30 trying to find the "Egg Factory" - even with the GPS coordinates and 4 hours of searching, we still couldn't find it. So I'm disappointed, but we plan on going back Sunday after Shiprock. The place is HUGE... it's endless. There were only 2 other cars in the parking lot too.

haha, sorry to hear you didn't find exactly the spot, but i'm sure you got some ideas of how to shoot the area. and about the number of cars! that is the greatest thing about NM, no body anywhere. thousands of people in glacier.

Truly amazing! love this one. What post processing did you do with this one? it's amazing.

Thank you! this is actually a very simple shot. it is two blended exposures to achieve proper tone of the foreground and sky. I also used a polarizer to reduce glare and add texture to the foreground.

The most important part is that i shot it with dawn light so colors were naturally saturated and dynamic range was low.

hope this helps!
