Monsoons drifted over the desert all day. As the sun began its decent the clouds began to part, leaving to quench another arid land. In the final hours, with grass and bush refreshed and lively, the setting sun ignited the renewed plateau as a the phoenix reborn.
This is a vertical panorama of two frames, each at 14mm. Each frame is a composite of multiple exposures to achieve complete focus and dynamic range.

All of your work is beautiful, but as a westerner now living east of the Mississippi, your desert shots really tug at the soul. There is such a feeling of "being there" when I look at them. There is depth, and an almost tactile presence of light and texture...like I can feel the wind on my arms, and scrape my hand over the stone. Yikes! I'm going a bit loony with the comment here. Lol! Great compliment! Those are the exact emotions and physicals experiences I have whilst making my photos so I'm very glad it translates to you . In two weeks I will be doing more work in the SW so stay tuned.
