O' Christmas Tree by ColinHSillerud O' Christmas Tree by ColinHSillerud
This cave had quite a descent, but my friend and I only had 50ft of webbing and no harnesses so we climbed it hand-over-hand. after that I climbed around for two hours setting 4 lights and 3 flashes. The pointy structure in the middle of the frame is about 500ft from the lens.

You rarely see stuff like this around here. That's some high adventure. :) I've only ever seen formations that plentiful and untouched in tour caves. Love it! The comp flows well and provides something to look at in every nook and cranny.

it was a difficult one. i am still not fully confident about it simply because it doesn't do the cave's massive scale justice. but i'm glad you like it and the journey!

Ah, the greatest critic is the artist him-or-herself. One can not simply be happy with one's work because one has seen all angles of what could be photographed... Suffice it to say that I've been able to see these areas through your camera lens ;)
