Another incredible shot. I love the painterly quality this has, and the contrasting warm and cool colors complement each other very well.

Well done! :)

Thank you, Nikki. This is one of my personal favorites. Due in part to having a broken foot during the shoot. Just makes it that much more memorable I guess, haha.

I like your own style. You have an interesting way of making many of your images look extremely dreamlike and sort of "foggy." is that a technique you do in post or are you purposefully shooting so that the light casts a flare on your lens?

I just read the story behind this shot and I appreciate it so much more! You write very well too. I'm glad you got this shot, truly magnificent!
Thank you for your kind words regarding my photography. To answer your question I would say it is actually a combination of how I take the shots and the work I do on them afterwards that makes them the way they are. So, both :)

So glad you liked my story. Half the reason I was drawn to photography was the adventure behind it!

So where in the states do you live? usually I can tell by a person's photos, but yours are so detail oriented that i can't tell. maybe out east?

well i guess i got that right. i remember going on a road trip out east. i got super claustrophobic cause the whole 2 day drive was buried in trees. i am used to seeing the horizon.

yeah, i could see how that would make you feel claustrobic! i don't shoot that many landscapes so without all those forests, gardens, trees, and woodsy areas in general i would have very little nature detail to seek out :) each place has its own advantages i suppose :D

too true, each place has it's ups and downs and it's own sense of beauty. even the ugliest places can been seen through appreciative eyes and look magnificent.

i think you're probably in the midst of a storm that pasted me two days ago. do you ever shoot the winter? i guess it may lack the color that is so characteristic in your work.
